SEXGL ground ball screws deliver unparalleled accuracy and durability in high-precision automation systems, trusted by global leaders like BYD (EV powertrain assembly) and BOE (LCD panel cutting robots) across North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and South Korea.
CNC ball screws are high-precision linear motion components primarily used in CNC machine tools and other precision mechanical processing equipment. They consist of four main components: a screw shaft, a nut, ball bearings, and return guides. The screw shaft is a cylindrical shaft with helical raceways, while the nut—fitted over the screw shaft—contains corresponding internal helical raceways. Ball bearings roll between the raceways of the screw shaft and nut, forming a rolling friction pair that enables efficient motion transfer.
When the screw shaft is driven to rotate by a power source such as an electric motor, ball bearings roll between the helical raceways of the screw shaft and nut. Due to the point or line contact between the balls and raceways, frictional resistance is minimized, efficiently converting the rotational motion of the screw shaft into linear motion of the nut.
During this process, the balls roll forward along the screw shaft's helical raceway. Upon reaching the end of the nut, they are guided by the return guides into the reverse channel, which directs them back to the starting end of the raceway. The balls then re-enter the raceway to continue rolling, forming a continuous cycle of motion.
